Born in Hitchin Hertfordshire in 1958, Martin now lives in Mundesley, North Norfolk UK. He worked in the Aerospace Industry at BAe and also Lockheed Martin until retiring in 2018.

The Alex Henshaw Trophy’ for an Oil Painting called "Comet Racer".
The Award was received during the private view of Guild of Aviation Artists Annual Exhibition on Monday the 9th July
The Trophy was presented by Ex-RAF test pilot Mr. Desmond Penrose.
